Institute of Distance Education provides oppurtunities of education both Undergraduate and Postgraduate level through Distance Education mode. The Institute was established in 1981 and its Alumni are spread all over the world.Courses are offered both Regular and Open University Streams through Distance Education and Learning mode. Admissions are done at the Institute of Distance Education located in the Chepauk Campus of University of Madras or at a number of Spot Admission Centres distributed all over the Country.
