3. IGNOU - Master of Business Administration (MBA) - The MBA Programme consists of 21 courses in all. These comprise of : * All the courses in PGDIM (Eleven Courses) i.e. MS-1 to MS-11 * Five courses from any one of the specialisation streams * Compulsory Courses (MS-91, MS-95) and one elective course (MS-92/93/94/96/97) * Project Course (MS-100) equivalent to 2 courses. Admission to the MBA will be done on the basis of the score obtained in the OPENMAT, conducted all over India twice a year. Eligibility Bachelor's Degree with 3 years Supervisory / Managerial / Professional Experience or Professional Degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine / Architecture / Law / Pharmacy or Professional qualifications in Accountancy, Cost & Works Accountancy, Company Secretaryship etc. or a Master's degree in any subject The University may consider other degrees to this list of equivalent professional degree/qualification, if required. Rs. 1400/- for MS100 (Total 21 courses) Medium of Instruction English Other Information regarding the course As per the IGNOU Student Handbook and Prospectus for Management Programs (2005 and in other sources), for the sake of clarification, IGNOU suggested the following: a) 'Professional' means a person holding a degree in Engineering, Law, Medicine, Accountancy, etc. b) 'Experience' means work experience of a person during or after acquiring the qualification as specified above. Further, Supervisory experience means that the person is in the supervisory cadre and supervising after the work of a minimum of three subordinates reporting to him/her. Managerial experience means that the person is concerned with decision making 'Experience' means work experience of a person during or after acquiring the qualifications above. Note: Alongwith the above eligibility criteria, a student must have qualified the OPENMAT Test conducted by the university. Candidates who are appearing or have appeared in any qualifying examination but their results are not declared on or before the last dates for submission of Application Forms for Admission to Management Programme will not be eligible. AICTE Recognition The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) wide its letter F No. AICTE/Academic/MOU-DEC/2005 dt. May 13, 2005 has specified that the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) are recognized by AICTE. IGNOU - Master of Business Administration Banking and Finance (MBF) - Eligibility Criteria The Candidate should be a member of the Indian Institute of Bankers and should satisfy the following conditions: S/he should have passed the CAIIB examinations of the Indian Institute of Bankers, Mumbai and awarded the requisite qualification/credentials thereof by the Institute. S/he should have been working in the banking or financial services sector for a period of at least two years. S/he should be a graduate of a recognized university. IGNOU - Master of Commerce (M.Com) - Eligibility Bachelor's Degree or a higher degree from a recognized university Min age as on 1st Jan. of the Academic Year No bar Duration (Min) 2 years Duration (Max) 5 years Program Fee 1st year Rs.3700/- 2nd year Rs.3600/- Medium of Instruction English Course offered since Starting 2004-05 Academic Year Program offering / Admission This course is offered in July session. Please refer to the Admission Notification that is released before the specified program session. Last date for submission of Application form for the programmes is as per the advertisement. IGNOU - Master of Commerce (MCom) - Finance and Taxation - Faculty / School / Department / Center offering the course School of Management Studies Eligibility Criteria / Entry Requirements Candidates who fulfill the following two conditions are eligible for admission to this programme: i) Graduate in any discipline or equivalence from a recognized University/Institute. ii) Admitted in the Chartered Accountancy Final Course. OR Who has already passed Chartered Accountancy. As per the eligibility, Students who are currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy Final Course as well as those who have already completed Chartered Accountancy are eligible to seek admission to this programme. Similarly, those students who have passed Chartered Accountancy under the earlier schemes are also allowed to join this programme. Medium of Instruction English Medium (Also offered in Hindi Medium starting July 2008) About the Course The course is designed and developed in collaboration with The Board of Studies, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India exclusively for the Chartered Accountancy Final stage students.
