Symbiosys established in 1978. Symbiosys is recognized as the
great Buinsess Schools in the world. Today SIBM has the status of

The Symbiosis Society, which runs several colleges under its umbrella,
has received recognition of a Deemed University from the ministry
of human resource development (HRD) and the University Grants Commission
(UGC). Symbiosis has the trend of taking initiative. In 1979, SIBM
proved its pioneering as it organize first seminar outside the city.
In 1982, first time SIBM started the concept of internship. in 1982,
SIBM was ranked as top 5 business school in India. In 1990, Symbiosis
got affiliated with Pune University. In 2002, SIBM got the status
of Deemed University.
Symbiosis Masters In Business Administration (MBA) Full Time
Specializations: Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, Operations,
and Marketing Communications.
Duration: Two years full time. Eligibility: A graduate from
any statutory university with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC / ST)
marks at graduation level. Candidates passing degree examination
by part time/ correspondence course or in one sitting are not eligible.
Students appearing for their final year can apply but their admission
will be subject to obtaining the minimum required marks. A candidate
is eligible to apply to one category only. Intake: 180 Reservation
within intake: • 15% and 7.5% of seats reserved for SC/ST candidates
respectively • 3% seats reserved for “physically handicapped candidates
(blind, hearing impaired (Deaf/dumb) mentally retarded or those
with orthopaedic disorders). The minimum degree of disability should
be 40% in order to be eligible under this category. • 15% seats
reserved for Management seats - applicant need to comply with all
the eligibility norms and apply separately only after the entire
process is complete. Appearing for SNAP test and filling of SIBM
form is mandatory. • Kashmiri Migrants: 2 seats over and above the
total intake – children of migrants from J&K valley. • 15% seats
for International students. Students can apply to one category only.
Fees : Total fees – Rs. 3.5 lacs p.a. (total fees not including

Application Procedure - How To Register For SNAP 2008 Step
1. Register for SNAP Test at www.snaptest.org. This will generate
your SNAP ID. For different modes of payment different ‘Payment
Advice’ formats are created. Choose a payment mode and print a ‘Payment
Advice’ form online. Step 2. Fee of appearing in the entrance examination
conducted by Symbiosis Test Secretariat is Rs. 1000/-. Please note
that this fees is non refundable and no claims for refund will be

Selection Procedure : The selection of the students shall be on
the basis of Entrance Test followed by Personal Interview. Entrance
Examination : The paper will consist of Verbal Ability and Basics
of Mathematics. There will be 150 questions to be solved in 120
minutes. Intake : Total 50 seats in each programme. Transfer from
one programme to another in between the semester will not be allowed.
Fees : Rs. 100000 P.A. to be paid in two installments. Course Structure
: The programme structure consists of 5 semesters, 4 semesters of
classroom learning. Students will also be required to complete a
Research Project in any functional area of their choice within a
period of 6 months after completion of 4th Semester. They are required
to submit a Project Report on the same.

in Communication Management Specializations: Focus on Brand Management,

time. Eligibility: A graduate from any statutory University with

one sitting are not eligible. Final year appearing students can

Selection Procedure: The selection procedure consists of initially
a Written Examination. Subsequently, a qualified candidate undertakes
