Florida Metropolitan University began its venture
into online learning in the winter quarter of 1999 by offering
five courses on two campuses. After our initial pilot phase,
FMU expanded its online course offerings to include all nine
FMU campuses for the winter quarter of 2000. At the same time,
we received approval to develop online enrollment for any
of the courses within the standardized Business Administration
program. In the Fall of 2001, additional approval was granted
to offer the Accounting and Criminal Justice programs online.
Since the winter term of 2000, FMU has consistently added
courses within these Associate's and Bachelor's degrees. Today
all of the courses necessary to complete the degrees are available
online, which now includes Master's programs
