is just one of a long list of noted alumni. ISU’s School of
Nursing, which is accredited by the National League of Nursing
(NLN), was established in 1963 and has distinguished itself
as one of the nation’s premier nursing programs
The goal of the Indiana State University College
of Nursing is to provide the highest level of nursing education.
The baccalaureate track for LPNs and RNs was initiated to
accomplish this goal and to respond to the educational needs
of licensed practical nurses and vocational nurses. The track
offers LPNs and RNs an alternative curriculum for earning
a baccalaureate degree in nursing. ISU’s baccalaureate track
for licensed practical nurses, vocational nurses, and registered
nurses offers classes available via various distance-education
methodologies, as well as clinical experiences with preceptors
in various health care facilities, arranged collaboratively
by the faculty member and the student
