Awadhesh Pratap Singh Distance Education Brief Information

The University is located on a 246.20 acres expanse of land in the north of Rewa city, at a distance of about 5 km from it, with its campus lying on either side of Rewa-Sirmour Road. It offers UG, PG and Diploma courses. Awadhesh Pratap Singh University got provisional recognition from DEC in 2007 - 08 for conducting distance education courses.

The University was established on the 20th July 1968 and got UGC recognition in February 1972. The A.P.S University is a teaching cum affiliating University with its jurisdiction over 147 colleges. Study Centre of IGNOU is attached to the university where large number of students are getting opportunities to study general and specialized courses. Courses - University offers courses in MJMC, MLISc, BLISc, BJMC, B.A, B.Com, B.Sc, PG Diploma in (1) Pollution Management, (2) Industrial Relation, (3) Marketing Management, (4) Computer Application, and (5) Environmental Impact Assessment

Methodology - Under Academic activities students are provided study material, writing of response sheets, home assignments and arranging of personal contact programmes. Study Centres - It has study centres only in Madhya Pradesh region situated in the districts of Rewa, Singrauli, Satna, Sidhi, Shahdol, Anuppur and Umaria. University has department of Distance Education. Personal Contact Programmes are held in the Distance Education Centre, A.P.S University.

Selection - Admission to courses are made through Merit of qualifying class.

Application Procedure - Application form can be obtained on payment of Rs 500 directly. Outstation candidates can get through post by sending demand draft in favour of Registrar A.P.S University, Rewa and enclosing self addressed unstamped envelope of 28 X 20 cms size. If downloaded from website then it should be accompanied with DD. All forms are submitted to Director Distance Education Centre of A.P.S University, Rewa, MP.
