GJUST is located in Hisar. It offers UG, PG and PG Diploma courses. Guru Jambheshwar got DEC Programme-wise Regular Recognition in 2009-10 for M.Sc, M.A, MIB, MBA, M.Com, BBA, PG Diploma and MCA distance education courses. The Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar, was established on October 20,1995 by an Act of the Legislature of the State of Haryana with the objectives 'to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education. The Directorate of Distance Education of this University was established in 1997. Courses - University started with MBA, PGDCA, BBA, CIC. At present 17 under-graduate and postgraduate programmes are being conducted. New courses added are P. G. Diploma in (1) Counseling & Behaviour Modification, (2) Industrial Safety Management, (3) Bakery Science & Technology, (4) Environmental Management, (5) Advertising & Public Relations and (6) Taxation.
Methodology - Under Academic activities students are provided study material and arranging of personal contact programmes. The learning is imparted in two different modes, first directly by the directorate and secondly through the study centres.
Study Centres - It has study centres in has study centres in 1 in Andhra Pradesh, 1 in Chandigarh, 32 in Delhi, 77 in Haryana, 1 in Himachal Pradesh, 1 in Jammu & Kashmir, 2 in Kerala, 2 in Madhya Pradesh, 9 in Punjab, 10 in Rajasthan, 3 in Uttaranchal and 15 in Uttar Pradesh.
Selection - Admission to courses are made through Merit of qualifying exam. There will be entrance test for MBA, MCA(3 years) and MCA (5 years Integrated) courses. Application Procedure - Prospectus can be obtained from the Directorate of Distance Education, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar or from any study centre approved by this university on cash payment of Rs.400/- or by post on sending DD of Rs.450/- favouring Registrar, GJUS&T, Hisar. The prospectus/admission form can also be downloaded from the Directorate’s website - www.ddegjust.ac.in. The students can submit their admission form either directly to the Directorate of Distance Education or through the Study Centres.
Fees - The students taking admission through the study centres may deposit the prescribed fee with their study centers. The candidates taking admission directly in the University may deposit the required fee by way of Demand Draft in favour of the Registrar, GJUS&T, Hisar OR will deposit their fee in any CBS Branch of PNB in Account No. 0203021100000023 or UBI in account No. 344302050000103 or HDFC bank in account No.01551450001129. Note - Student please write their name, course, enrolment number and complete address on the backside of the demand draft failing which the Directorate will not be responsible for non- adjustment of fee in his/her account.
